Serenitea at Robinsons Place Ermita, Manila

Everybody's favorite bubble tea/pearl tea store recently opened its newest branch last Monday, Oct. 26. The people behind Serenitea just gave us another reason to go to the mall. Oh well! :)

Serenitea's Robinsons Manila branch is located at the
Ground Floor, Adriatico Wing (near Cabalen)

Though newly opened, the new branch is sure to address your much needed Serenitea fix! Choose from the tea menu that you have been seeing at their San Juan branch and enjoy every sip of their amazing tea selections. Be sure to take note of the sugar level though. I always have mine at 50% sugar, a good balance of sweet and (insert appropriate taste here).

My usual order: Large Hokkaido at 50% sugar

I have been wanting to try their chicken chops but the Ermita branch has yet to have them available. So just like me, be on the lookout, people! :)

For phone queries, contact telephone numbers 379-4166 and/or 794-3288.

Other locations:

  • Little Baguio, San Juan
  • Aguirre Ave. BF Homes, Paranaque City
  • N. Roxas, Banawe, Quezon City

Spending 5 amazing days at Legaspi Suites, Davao

It takes a 1.5-hour plane ride to go to Davao and for my first time, my company booked my flights under Cebu Pacific Air (wasn't late for either flights. In fact, both flights arrived earlier than scheduled. Thanks!)  I didn't know what to expect of my trip to Davao since not once did I bother ask people about Davao except two nights before the day of my flight.

The hosts for my stay in Davao opted to get me a Premium room at Legaspi Suites, a clean and intimate place located along Pelayo St. (formerly Legaspi St.)

My room :) Really spacious!

What keeps you sane throughout a plane ride?

It never occurred to me until today that I'm the kind of person who very rarely manages to survive a plane ride without the need for snacks, sweet or otherwise. I was en route to Davao (and it's my first time) for the Kaligdoan Indigenous Youth Congress in Mintal, Davao. The flight wasn't a long one (just 1.5 hours) but just moments after takeoff, I immediately got hungry.

My friends who know me and who are sincerely concerned of me keep saying that my lack of discipline in food probably roots from a certain kind of eating disorder. Although I respect their opinion, I would still like to deny this horrifying possibility. So going back, I had to halt one of the Cebu Pacific flight attendants, who didn't dance even a single bit the whole time, to order what probably is the cheapest combination in their in-flight menu.

For people who have been through tougher times, they would know that noodles are good examples of budget food. Not only are noodles comparatively cheaper than most things off the rack but they are a lot easier to prepare--and consume. Sure, these mass-produced snacks may not have as much nutrients as organic and freshly made dishes but they're sure to satisfy a revolting tummy!

A cup of hot noodles, Pepsi, and maybe even a light dessert usually keep me busy while on a plane bound somewhere.

Go ahead and pair it up with a cold refreshment. Though inadvisable, I usually drink Pepsi or Coke after munching on a cup of hot noodles.

So, what do you do to survive a plane ride?

Cebu Pacific flights sell Nissin Cup Noodles for Php 50, and in three flavors: Beef/Chicken/Seafood.
Pepsi and other canned drinks sell for Php 50.

Theres no place like PeanutButterCompany

Peanut Butter Company, PeanutButter Company, PeanutButterCompany, PB Co. No matter which way you write it, PeanutButterCompany is in a league of its own. No other food establishment in the Philippines does justice to peanut butter like PB Co.

PeanutButterCompany, Mall of Asia

One of the things that come to mind whenever someone mentions "peanut butter" is PB & J. I was
