Creating memories at One Tagaytay Place

If a place’s reputation is built by its people then One Tagaytay Place has been built good and sturdy. Upon seeing the hotel and experiencing how things go at their better than cosy establishment, I would say that it has transcended my traditional view of how hotel service is defined.

It is surprising to know that such a fine escape can be found in Tagaytay, what with the many hotels, inns, and hostels that have proliferated all over the city. Boasted as one of the better venues for both business and social events, One Tagaytay Place offers the best service to groups, couples, or even individuals who intend to stay either for relaxation or official functions.

Clients can choose from any of the 120 units (115 Deluxe gustrooms and suites, and 5 Penthouse Premier Suites) whose rates range from Php 5,800 to Php 18,000, complete with airconditioning, an electronic lock system, an electronic safe, a minibar, LCD flat screen TV with a DVD player, coffee & tea making facilities, and free WiFi among others. Most of the units also go with a balcony that gives a commanding view of surrounding mountains and the Taal Lake as well as access to the cool and fresh air of Tagaytay.

A typical penthouse unit has a spacious living room, master bedroom (w/ personal toilet & bath), and kitchenette among others

Even Deluxe rooms have their own balcony

A 1-Bedroom Suite boasts of a charming foyer which usually leads to a balcony

For guests who wish to experience sumptuous dishes from the hotel kitchen, Azalea can cater to their needs and specifications round the clock. The architecture of the restaurant complements the overall look of the hotel and even adds to one’s dining experience. Dishes are made to perfection with the skills and expertise of in-house head chef Ronald Manalo. A more hip and trendy take on dining is One Tagaytay Place’s very own Tower Lounge and Steak bar which is open from 6PM to 1AM daily. A personal recommendation would be to try their rib eye steak. I was hushed by how all the flavours and tenderness of the meat blended well when I had it.

As with most parts of the hotel, Azalea's architecture speaks of proportion and elegance with an earthy touch

Choose among the cafe's High tea selections to pass the afternoons with friends. Sadly, I can only remember Lemon Grass High Tea as it was what I requested

At Azalea, the theme of the menu changes every month

The Tower Lounge showcases both fun drinks and great music. Oh! And some of the best steaks in Tagaytay too!

As an unspoken custom, guests may choose to have the welcoming "Five Towers of Power" specially concocted by One Tagaytay Place's fun-loving family

To add to the already amazing things that One Tagaytay Place has to offer are the swimming pools located at the 9th floor, fitness center, game room, spa (open up to 12AM), and a delicacy and gift shop for your convenience.

With only just two years of operation, One Tagaytay Place has proven itself worthy of all the attention it has been getting from both local and foreign guests.

A truly remarkable home away from home, One Tagaytay Place gave me one of the best memories I have of Tagaytay. I’ll surely go back to make another one.
